Crews Tackle Car Fire In Downtown FDL

A vehicle is a total loss following a car fire Monday night in downtown Fond du Lac.

Fond du Lac Fire Rescue crews were called out shortly after 8:30 p.m. for reports of a vehicle fire near the corner of S. Brooke St. and Hamilton Place.

Crews arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. They were able to extinguish the blaze, but the vehicle was a total loss.

There were no reports of injuries as of this morning, and local officials have not yet released any information as to what may have caused the blaze or the situation surrounding the incident.

The matter remains under investigation.
