Virginia A. Westphal, 81, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, January 9, 2017, at Deerview Meadows. She was born on November 10, 1935, in Sheboygan, a daughter of Christ and Amber Rose Lane Kunstman. On August 20, 1966, she married Charles “Bud” R. Westphal. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2012. Virginia was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Thomas H. “Tom” Berlin, age 51, of Stockbridge, died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born August 25, 1965 in Sheboygan, son of the late Jack & Betty (Hiltgen) Berlin. Tom married Cheryl Beil on October 24, 1987 in Chilton. Throughout his life, Tom worked at several different companies including, Enzopac in Sheboygan, Sturm Foods in Manawa, and was currently working at Trilliant Food in L.. More... 

Robert “Bob” J. Plonsky, 82, of Eldorado, died Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born on May 7, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Robert H. and Virginia Booth Plonsky. Paul A. Workun, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on March 7, 1929, in Chicago, a son of Paul and Katherine Potocki Workun. Paul served with the United States Army during World War II. On August 20, 2004, he married Winifred “Win” J. Johns at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Michael C. Stommel, 59, of Fond du Lac went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Manorcare Nursing Home in Fond du Lac. He was born in Hartford on March 27, 1957, the son of Claude and Frieda (nee Wondra) Stommel. He was a 1976 graduate of Campbellsport High School. Ruth M. Schabach, age 100, of Chilton, died on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. She was born March 30, 1916 in Chilton, daughter of the late Edward & Lucy (Bink) Grittner. Ruth married Eugene Schabach on June 29, 1943 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton and the couple operated their photo studio, Schabach Studio, out of their home.
