Sharen Marie (Welk) Roets, was born to eternal life, Friday June 17th, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Sharen was born October 10, 1940 in Waupun WI, the daughter of Walter and Gertrude (Hodgins) Welk. She and surviving husband Raymond John Roets were married August 17, 1957. Gene Fendley, 65, of Oakfield, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born January 25, 1951 in Texas, the son of the late Marcus and Dorothalee Allen Fendley. On August 7, 1976 he married Eleanor Gomez. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; four children, Paris, Anjunell, Megan, and Philip; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and siblings. GEORGENE MOFFITT Just weeks before Georgene Moffitt (GG) died, her daughter, Molly, included her in a promotional video for the Agnesian HealthCare Hospice Home of Hope where Georgene had recently settled. Edward Jazdzewski, 88, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton on June 16, 2016. He was born on October 31, 1927 to Frank and Tillie (Dombrowski) Jazdzewski in Wild Rose. Edward married Delores Pionke on July 30, 1949. Delores passed away in 1976. Edward married Mary Alice Wagner on June 23, 1979 in Mount Calvary. Edward grew up on the family farm in the Almond area. James Robert Koertgen, formerly of Hoffman Estates, passed away on Feb. 13, 2016 at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville surrounded by family. He was born on Dec. 17, 1926 in Chicago. He graduated from St. Gregory H.S. in Chicago in 1945. James served with the 88th Army Division, "The Fighting Blue Devils", from 1945-1946. Richard “Dick” Thompson, 89, of Sun Prairie, passed away Friday June 3, 2016. He was born January 27, 1927, in Escanaba, MI, son of the late Neil and Helen Thompson. Dick was a graduate of Madison East High School. He served in the United State Army from 1945 to 1947 in WWII under the European Theatre. He received honorable discharge as Sergeant, First Class. Dennis E. Thome, 78, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary. He was born June 17, 1937 in Mt. Calvary, the son of Dennis and Caroline Dietzen Thome. On August 6, 1960 he married Joanne Olig at Sacred Heart Church in Fond du Lac. Dennis served in the US Army from September 1960 – September 1962 at Fort Benning, Georgia. Edith L. Trepanier, 55, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by family. She was born in Fond du Lac to the late Edward and Veronica (Wettstein) Steffes on January 14, 1961. Gary L. Wendel, 60, of Enderlin, ND, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. He was born August 6, 1955 in Fond du Lac, the son of Jerome and Janice Wettstein Wendel. On September 14, 1979 he married Sharon Volkaitis in Fond du Lac. Gary worked as a conductor for the Soo Line Railroad and Canadian Pacific Railway for 30 years.
