David Vande Zande, 91, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, December 29, 2016. David was born January 19, 1925 in the town of Alto, the son of John R. and Henrietta Boerson Vande Zande. David served his country for three years with the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific. He spent time near China, Australia, and Iwo Gima on a liberty ship as a gunner. Emil E. Hass, 92, formerly of Fond du Lac, died Friday, December 23, 2016, at his home in Ocala, Florida. He was born on January 23, 1924, in Rensselaer, Indiana, a son of Herman and Edith Saunders Hass. Emil was married to Doris Petrich. She preceded him in death on February 6, 1981. David “Bart” Lee Bartell, 71, of St. Cloud, passed away on December 27, 2016 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. He was born in Fond du Lac on December 18th, 1945, a son of Nathan and Virginia (Thern) Bartell. Dave graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in 1963. Diane Kennedy, 65, of Fond du Lac, passed away on December 27, 2016. She was born in Taylor, Texas, a daughter of Jess “Woody” and Marjorie (Wallace) Woodfin. Diane graduated from Opelika High School, Opelika, Alabama in 1969. Diane served in the United States Army. She worked at St. Agnes Hospital until her retirement as a switchboard operator. Merle Myron Voskuil, 85, of Waupun, died peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac with family by his side. Merle was born on February 20, 1931 in rural Waupun, the son of Arthur and Laura Prochnow Voskuil. On September 15, 1962 Merle married Ora Jean Whitney and resided in Waupun.
