20-29 Yr. Olds See Increased COVID-19 Numbers

6 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Fond du Lac County on Thursday, now sitting at 306. With a total of 111 tests returned, that puts the daily percentage positive at 3.7%, with a total of 9,034 negative tests also being turned in since the start of the pandemic. 25 active cases remain, with 275 recovered, and still 2 people hospitalized as a result of the coronavirus.

The percentage of positive COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin remained above four percent Thursday. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported that 464--or 4.1 percent -- of 11,222 new test results were positive. That follows a 4.3 percent positive rate on Wednesday, and over the past seven days, an average of 3.6 percent of tests have been positive. DHS also reported nine deaths, and 27 new hospitalizations. The state's public health agency now has a county-level dashboard to assess COVID-19 activity in counties and Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition regions, that measures what DHS calls the burden in each county.

There have now been 766 deaths and 3,326 hospitalizations due to COVID-19 in Wisconsin. Out of more than 26,000 cases, 78% have recovered.

As we get ready to launch into another holiday week, the weather is not going to be a detractor when it comes to folks gathering. And that could cause more concern. New spikes in COVID-19 cases are being seen among the 20-to-29 age group. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ryan Westergaard says La Crosse and Winnebago Counties have both seen large increases in the 20-29 age group, in large part because that group is not practicing social distancing.

Let's see. What happened a couple weeks ago, that all these young people are now testing positive. Oh yea, the Democrat backed protests. No social distancing there. No face mask rules either. You know, the things the Democrats were slamming down the throats of the rest of us. Wake up America, before the America you know is gone!
