A Day in Our Boots Programs Kicks Off

A new program for the summer is kicking off its first day at the Fond du Lac Senior Center Monday. A Day in Our Boots brings in conversations with local police and fire crews about different aspects of their jobs.

Sandy Foote – President of Triad at the Senior Center – says the first session involves police dogs and how canine units operate. Foote tells us “the city of Fond du Lac has a new canine officer. And our canines are officers, they wear a badge and are very important in law enforcement. So you’ll get to met the new one and see all the things he’s able to do. So it should be very enlightening.”

The program runs from 1:00-2:00pm Monday afternoon. Foote says people of all ages, not just seniors, are invited to attend. A new subject will be covered every Monday through August 13th
