Absentee Voting for Primaries Underway

Absentee voting for the August 14th primary is well underway, but the process for casting early ballots varies across the state. The Wisconsin Elections Commission recommends voters wishing to cast an early ballot to contact their local municipal clerk’s office to see what days and hours they are open. Voters can also make appointments. The deadline for voters to request a mailed absentee ballot is August 9th, and all ballots must be returned to the municipal clerk’s office by 8:00pm the night of Election Day. The last day for in-person absentee voting is August 11th, but many cities stop on Friday, August 10th
