ADRC Helps People Stay In Their Homes Longer

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Fond du Lac County provides help to keep the frail elderly in their homes. Sue Ellen Miller is a social worker for the agency. She says as people grow older they might need additional help to remain in their homes. She says family isn’t always living in the same area to provide help. She says they can also look at finances to see what other assistance might be available. Miller says the best thing to do is contact their office so they can visit the home and do an assessment.(She says sometimes they will see or recognize something the individual hasn’t thought of that could be a hazard to them. She says they will suggest what other services and supports there are to help that goal of staying home and healthy and safe. To learn more call 929-3466.
