Agnesian Welcomes Infectious Disease Doctor

Agnesian HealthCare welcomes Carlos E. Figueroa Castro, MD, a new infectious diseases physician with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Figueroa Castro is seeing patients on the fifth floor of the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic within Diabetes and Endocrinology services.

            As an infectious disease physician, Dr. Figueroa Castro has advanced training to diagnose and treat illnesses caused by microorganisms or germs, including chronic bone and joint infections; chronic and recurrent skin and soft tissue infections; HIV-AIDS; home IV antibiotic management needs; post-operative infections; returning traveler infections; sexually-transmitted diseases; and tick-borne infections.

Dr. Figueroa Castro received his medical degree from Universidad El Bosque, Bogota, Colombia in South America, where he is originally from. He completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and his fellowship training in infectious diseases from Creighton University School of Medicine.

He enjoys listening in music, cooking and traveling. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
