AHC Foundation Giving Tuesday Efforts Support Treffert Center

The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation will use its 2017 #GivingTuesday campaign on Tuesday, November 28 to help raise funds for the Treffert Center.

#GivingTuesday is a nationwide movement that occurs after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and is meant to encourage individuals to embrace the season of giving by supporting local non-profits.

The Treffert Center, which includes Agnesian Beyond Boundaries of Autism (ABBA), the Treffert Academy, the Treffert Library/Savant Center and Treffert Clinic, is working to bring awareness to neuro-diversity (autistic spectrum disorders) and what it means for our community.

The knowledgeable and talented team at the Treffert Center works to help families and our community understand neuro-diversity. The center was founded in 2016 and is the only savant institute in the world. The team has served more than 1,000 people and their families through their services which currently span 20 counties in Wisconsin.

“We have received ABBA services in our home for many years,” says Mandy V., Waupun. “The dedication this team has for my child really makes a difference in the success I see in my son. He has reached many goals with this program, and they continue to help him grow and develop. The support we receive from the Treffert Center staff is amazing and so close to home.”

Darold Treffert, MD, and Matt Doll, PhD, Behavioral Health Services/Autism director, will be chairing the campaign.

“We have rather lofty goals for the Treffert Center - professionally and scientifically,” explains Dr. Treffert. “If we can provide happiness and hope to those who reach out to us for guidance, we will be able to say - mission accomplished. I want that to be the legacy of the Treffert Center.”

Funding for many unique programs and services through the Treffert Center is supported by the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation. Supporting the Agnesian HealthCare #GivingTuesday campaign will help ensure that these programs and services can continue to benefit our communities.

The Agnesian HealthCare #GivingTuesday campaign will be featured on Facebook all day Tuesday, November 28, with a Facebook live event with Dr. Treffert and Doll. Supporters can visit agnesian.com/giving or call (920) 926-4959 on November 28 to make a donation.

Those who make a donation on #GivingTuesday will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win four box seat tickets to a 2018 Fond du Lac Dock Spiders game, along with the opportunity to throw the first pitch, donated by the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.

For more information on the Agnesian HealthCare #GivingTuesday campaign, call (920) 926-4959.
