Arkansas Man Bound Over On FDL County Charges

The 36-year-old Hampton, Arkansas man who struggled with Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies after a drunken driving crash has been bound over for trial. Edward Hernandez recently had a preliminary hearing stemming from charges connected with the accident at County Highway G and County Highway CCC on May 16th.  Sheriff’s Captain Ryan Waldschmidt says paramedics had to give Hernandez a sedative to prevent him from hurting, deputies, the paramedics and himself as he struggled in the back of a squad car. Hernandez allegedly caused more than $1,000 to the squad car. He later told investigators that he hadn’t had a drink in quite a while and believes the alcohol caused him to act the way he did. He will be arraigned on June 27th.
