Arndt Street Bridge Replacement Project Begins Friday

Another construction project will impact drivers in the
City of Fond du Lac starting Friday (May 31^st), as the Arndt Street
Bridge over the Fond du Lac River will close as crews begin work to replace the
structure. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has contracted with
Pheifer Brothers Construction to replace the bridge, which will result in a
closure of Arndt Street between Satterlee Street and Lincoln Avenue. The road
is set to be closed for several months as the structure is replaced.

The City of Fond du Lac says with the bridge closure,
additional stop signs will be placed on Brooke Street at the intersections of
Satterlee Street and Arndt Street. Those stop signs are in place to assist with
traffic flow. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead for traffic delays, as there
will not be a detour. Local traffic is encouraged to utilize other streets to
navigate around the closure.
