Attack On FDL Teen Unprovoked

Fond du Lac Police say a 15-year-old boy was attacked Saturday night in the area of Stow and McKinley Streets. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says the teen was with a 15-year-old friend and both were returning on their bicycles from a park about 10 p.m. when they had stopped to text their parents. That’s when a vehicle pulled up and stopped and a teenage boy or man got out of the car and hit one of the boys, the victim was punched in the face. The victim was hit again and knocked to the ground. He was then kicked in an already broken arm and then in the hip. The mother of the victim posted an account of the attack on Facebook, which included a link to an article on the Knockout game, but Klein says there have been no reports of that type of game going on in Fond du Lac. The victim is a nephew of State Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt. Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency number at (920) 906-5555 or the Crime Alert number 322-3740.
