Attempted Homicide Suspect Waives Preliminary Hearing

A 32-year-old Fond du Lac man who allegedly shot another man in the abdomen during a scuffle outside a city tavern has been bound over for trial. Antino Jones waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Fond du Lac County Court Thursday. Jones was then arraigned and pled not guilty to the 10 felony and 2 misdemeanor charges stemming from an incident that began inside the 2.0 Alehouse on November 19th. According to the criminal complaint he was asked to leave the bar because he was wearing a handgun in a hip holster. While outside the bar he got into a scuffle with another man that had been inside the tavern. That scuffle ended with the other man being shot in the abdomen. Jones gun jammed several times while he was pointing it at the victim. Jones was reportedly “very drunk” during the incident. He is being held in the County Jail on a $1 million cash bond.
