Awards Given Out At DFP Annual Meeting

The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership gave out some awards during its annual meeting last Thursday. DFP Executive Director Amy Hansen says the Mix It Up Bakery was awarded the Best New Business of the Year Award. She says they now have 12 employees and tips are given to nonprofit organizations. Kitz and Pfeil was given the Downtown Legacy Award, which is given to businesses that have been operating for 50 or more years. Lisa Pauly of the Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau received the Friend of Downtown Award. She’s been a volunteer for the DFP for a long time and has been involved in the historical society and the City’s Historic Preservation Commission. Leo Metivier was won the Volunteer of the Year Award. Lillian’s received the Interior Renovation of the Year Award, and Theo’s 24 won the Design of the Year Award.
