Banner Year For An Evening Of Chocolate And Wine

This year’s “An Evening of Chocolate & Wine” – presented by the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation and Waupun Memorial Hospital (WMH) Special Events Committee – has raised more than $15,000 to help benefit WMH women’s health and breast care services.

About 130 people enjoyed the event, which featured chocolates and various hand-selected wines, specialty beers, local cheeses and a bountiful hors d’oeuvre buffet, as well as music by jazz vocalist Ron Williams, raffle and a silent auction.

Raffle winners were: Jolene Pyka, grand prize (diamond pendant); Rohn Bishop, second prize (Ren’s Floral flowers); Tiffany Posthuma, third prize (AmericInn One-night stay); and Amy Uhrmacher, fourth prize (Guth’s End of Trails chocolate basket).

“The success of this year’s event is due to the continued support and enthusiasm we receive from the community to help us expand and enhance services available to area women,” according to Rita Meidam, Agnesian HealthCare Foundation executive director. “It is important that we help women with their overall health and well-being so they are present for their family in the long run.”

A special thank you to WMH Special Events Committee members, including: Kate Bresser, Patti Domask, Kathy Duchac, Jeff Homan, Frank Mesa, Michelle Ries, Todd Snow, DeAnn Thurmer and Donna Van Buren.
