Beaver Dam Building Where Deadly Explosion Occurred Coming Down

Authorities in Beaver Dam say the apartment building that was the scene of a deadly explosion will be demolished. Police Chief John Kreuziger (KRITE-zigger) says concerns about remnant explosives and structural integrity are some of the reasons they want demolish the structure, which has been determined to be a complete loss. Plans are being made for its removal. The surrounding buildings have been deemed safe. Law enforcement continues to maintain a perimeter around the building in an effort to ensure public safety. A man was killed in the initial blast that damaged the building, authorities later detonated explosive chemicals in the apartment where that blast occurred.
