Beaver Dam Man Sentenced For Robberies

The 34-year-old Beaver Dam man who robbed a BP Gas Station in December of 2015 has been sentenced to 8 years in prison and 18 months of extended supervision. Joshua Benson was sentenced in Dodge County Court this week on armed robbery, battery, fraud, and retail theft charges. According to the criminal complaint he stole about $480 in cash and checks when he used a pocket knife to rob a BP Gas Station in the Town of Beaver Dam. He also stole nearly $1,000 worth of liquor from the same store’s storage unit in May of 2016 and prescription drugs and a check from a Beaver Dam couple in February of last year.
