Belt Buckle Shooting Suspect Bound Over For Trial

The 34-year-old Fond du Lac man accused of firing off a handgun in
downtown Fond du Lac
at the end of last month has been bound over for trial. William Wilcox was in Fond du Lac County Court
on Thursday for a preliminary hearing. Wilcox is suspected of firing off four
shots early the morning of December 28th in the area of Main
and West 2nd Street
during an altercation. One of the shots hit a passerby in the belt buckle,
which deflected the round. Police were in the area when the shots were fired
and quickly apprehended Wilcox. He’s being held in the County Jail
on a $50,000 cash bond.
