Bird Tests Positive for West Nile Virus in FDL County

The
Fond du Lac County Health Department reports a crow found by residents back in
August has tested positive for West Nile Virus. This is the first bird that has
tested positive in the county since surveillance began for the
mosquito-transmitted virus on May 1st. The majority of people
infected with West Nile virus do not get sick
– and those who do become ill experience mild fever, headache, and rash-type
symptoms.
