Bowl For Kids Sake A Success

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Fond du Lac County recently completed their annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake Event raising over $76,000.  All funds raised go directly to BBBS to support one-to-one mentoring in Fond du Lac County. “The generosity of the Fond du Lac Community is absolutely amazing!” said Tammy Young, Executive Director of BBBS.  “We had 350 bowlers and over 70 businesses that sponsored the event in some fashion.  Bowl for Kids’ Sake was wild, crazy busy and a ton of fun!”

But the most amazing donation of the event came from the most unexpected place.  Ellie Judkins, age 9 had been saving her birthday money for something special.  When she heard dad, Dr. Andrew Judkins, was bowling with a team on Friday night, she told dad that she wanted to give back too.  She decided to donate her birthday money ($30) to Big Brothers Big Sisters.  “Her donation really struck a chord with me,” said Young.  “It kind of puts it all in perspective.  No matter how big or how small a donation is, every dollar makes a difference.  Thank you Ellie for making a difference!”
