Boys And Girls Club Meets A Need

Soon the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac will shift its focus from its summer programs to its after school programs. Club CEO Dan Hebel says they are busy all year long. He says they have 8 sites during the school year and 2 during the summer. He says all of their programs fall under their three core programs areas, which are academic success, character and leadership development, and healthy living. He says they have about 1,000 more members than when he started with the Club 12 years ago. He says right now they have about 1,550 members and they have gone up in membership the last eight years. He says the need in the community is certainly here and as long as the need is here the Boys & Girls Club will be here to meet it. Johnsonville’s Big Taste Grill was in Fond du Lac last Friday cooking up brats to benefit the Boys & Girls Club.
