Brandon Man Gets Probation For Fleeing From Police

The Brandon teen who fled from police on a motorcycle from police in Beaver Dam at speeds up to 100 miles an hour has pled guilty to a fleeing charge. Levi Schommer recently entered a “no contest” plea in Dodge County Court to the felony charge.  He was placed on probation for a year and has to do 40 hours of community service. Officers broke off the pursuit last August when Schommer headed north on Highway 151 toward Waupun. The bike was found later near a cornfield. Police were tipped about Schommer’s whereabouts. Schommer also has to write letters of apology to the Beaver Dam and Waupun Police Departments, and Dodge County Sheriff’s Department.
