Brush Fires

Fond du Lac Fire Rescue responded to several
reported brush fires on Tuesday along the Pioneer Road, Hickory,
and Highway 41 corridors along the path of the Canadian National Railway.
A MABAS Box Alarm was called to bring several brush trucks and personnel to
assist with firefighting efforts. All fires extinguished without any structures
being compromised.

Railway traffic
was suspended during the incident for the safety of firefighters who were
working in close proximity to the railroad.  There were several
neighboring fire departments that were called to assist along with City and
County police.

The fires also caused visibility problems for cars along Interstate 41.
