Building Trades Labs Being Beefed Up In North FDL

North Fond du Lac Schools Superintendent Aaron Sadoff is excited about the equipment purchases they are making to beef up their metal fabrication and construction technology labs at the high school. One of the things the passing of the $29.5 million referendum last April allows them to do is purchase equipment for the labs. Staff is handling those purchases and remodeling of the labs, which will save the district about 10 percent on costs because they don’t have to hire a company to help them out. Sadoff says when they finish the purchases $300,000 to $350,000 will have been invested in the labs. About $180,000 worth of industry standard machinery has been ordered. The tools and machines will also allow them to start a business called Oriole Enterprises that can make things for people and help out area businesses.
