Busy Ambulance

A busy day for Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Monday was no fluke, especially for their ambulance service. Division Chief Troy Haase says through the beginning of the week they had recorded 430 ambulance runs this month running up to five ambulances at the same time in rare instances. He notes they have had nearly 3,900 ambulance calls for the year. The 3,875 ambulance calls are up about 9 percent or 450 calls from 2016. Monday afternoon they responded to five car accidents with potential injuries over a two hour span. On the fire side of things they have had 2,475 fire calls this year, although the majority of those were EMS calls. He says they have been fortunate there have been few house or business fires.
