Busy Time For FDL Fire And Rescue With Home Fires

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Division Chief Troy Haase says they’ve been busy responding to house fires over the past few weeks. He says they were dispatched to four different fires over about a ten day span. He says their two latest fires were on Walker Street and 4th Street over Labor Day weekend. He says they were lucky with the fire on Walker Street because the house was full of clutter, which could have blocked exits from the home. He says the fire on 4th Street happened in a clothes dryer. He says one home had a working smoke detector and the other did not. Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue photo of firefighters on the scene of a recent fire on 4th Street.
