Car Hits House In FDL

On July 6, 2013 at 8:17 PM the Fond du Lac Police Department along with the Fond du Lac Fire Department were called to the area of Breister Ave. and Marshall Ave. for the report of a single vehicle accident truck versus house.  As officers arrived they observed a 34 year old male suspect standing beside a 1997 Jeep Cherokee bleeding from the head.  The vehicle had both air bags deployed and significant front end damage.  Officers learned that the vehicle was southbound on Breister Ave. and failed to negotiate a left turn at the intersection of Marshall Ave.  The vehicle hopped the curb and ultimately struck the southeast corner of a house in the 500 block of Marshall Ave causing significant damage to the foundation and a bedroom.  Two people were home at the time, but were in a different part of the house at the time of the crash.  The occupants of the house were not injured.  The 34 year old male suspect, lone occupant, was arrested for OWI and transported by ambulance to St. Agnes for his injuries.
