Charges Re-Filed In Heroin Overdose Death Case

Charges have been re-filed and consolidated against a 34-year-old Milwaukee man suspected of supplying heroin to a Fond du Lac woman that caused an overdose and her death. Roy Whitelow was charged Friday in Fond du Lac County Court with 1st degree reckless homicide, heroin trafficking, and battery to a law enforcement officer. The battery charge had been filed separately before charges were dismissed against Whitelow last Thursday because paperwork hadn’t been filed in a timely manner by the prosecutors after Whitelow’s preliminary hearing last month. His original bond of $1 million cash was lowered to $400,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday afternoon.  He’s suspected of supplying the heroin that led to the February 12th death of 27-year-old Heather Fugate of Fond du Lac.
