Child ID Kits Arriving Soon In FDL County

The Child ID Kits being provided for every child in Fond du Lac County will soon be distributed in the community. Fond du Lac Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says letters should arrive shortly in the mail and they will be distributed to children at school to take home to their families. He says to take the time to do the DNA swab, do the inkless fingerprinting and store the kits somewhere safe you have access to. Haase says to make sure you ask your children if they received the kits at school in case they forget to tell you. He says it would also be a good idea to include a picture of your child in the ID kit so if it’s ever needed investigators would also have that available to them. The Child ID Kit program kicked off in Fond du Lac and has gone statewide. It’s an effort of the Green Bay Packers and Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin. Agnesian HealthCare Foundation is providing the funding for the effort in Fond du Lac County.
