Childrens Museum Of FDL Fall Program Lineup

FOND DU LAC, WIS (September 18, 2017) – Fall programs are in full swing at the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac, and families are invited to participate in a variety of exciting classes, special events, and more.

Enrichment Classes include:

Mini Monets: Get messy with your little one! Art projects will explore the seasons using paints, glitter, stamps, and more. For children up to age 5 at 9:15 am and 10:00 am on

Wednesdays, September 27 – November 15.

Music, Museum, & Me: In this highly energetic class, children and their caregivers will sing, play instruments and move to the music. For children up to age 5 at 9:30 am, 10:15 am, and 5:00 pm on Thursdays, September 28 – November 16.

Picasso’s Apprentices: Explore different art techniques while completing fun projects. Sculpt, paint, and construct masterpieces using a variety of different mediums and materials. For children in Kindergarten – 2nd Grade at 4:00 pm on Tuesdays, October 3 – 24.

Le Cordon Kids Cooking Class: Learn how to make homemade pasta with Chef Annie from Annie’s Fountain City Cafe. Enjoy eating the culinary creation for lunch! For ages 3rd – 7th Grade at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 14.

Quilting Club: Create your very own quilted coaster while learning basic sewing techniques by hand and with a machine. For ages 3rd – 7th Grade at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 28.

Passport to the Holidays: Kids will be immersed in the holidays through festive activities, music, crafts, and literature. For ages 3 – 5 years at 9:00 am on Thursdays, December 7, 14, & 21.

Ongoing Family Programs include:

Garden Club: The Children’s Museum has partnered with Agnesian HealthCare to help kids develop healthy habits. Try new veggies, and learn together while growing new gardening skills. For all ages, Tuesdays at 11:00 am.

Science Lab: Get ready to explore the world and how it works through hands-on science experiments, microscopes, and discovery labs in partnership with Fond du Lac Area United Way . For all ages, Wednesdays at 11:00 am & 4:00 pm.

Maker Lab: Everyone can be a Maker in this open-ended workshop made possible by Fond du Lac Area Foundation! Kids are encouraged to use their imaginations using materials such as circuits, wood, textiles, motors, and more on Inspiration Island. For all ages, Fridays at 10:00 am.

HealthWorks: Agnesian HealthCare is helping kids and their grownups learn about brain development with hands on programming in a special new Museum exhibit, BrainMatters. Get moving while learning and having fun. For all ages, Tuesdays, October 3 – 31 at 11:00 am.

Living Lab: Under the guidance of Dr. Kayoung Kim, students and faculty from UW – Fond du Lac and Museum staff will engage visitors in a real university research study. Select Saturdays through Fall.

Lego Night: The Alliant Energy Foundation is helping us build STEM skills with this program where kids will be inspired to create Lego structures with a giant supply bricks. For all ages, first Friday of every month from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
