Christmas Light Show At Lakeside Park Will Change Hands

The Christmas laser light show at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac is seeing record crowds this season. New songs, lights and props were added and the parking area has been expanded. That’s the good news. The bad news is the people at Nemesis Metals who started the show years ago, will be handing it over to the next generation after next Christmas. Sandi Roehrig is the Executive Director of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation. The Foundation had put together financing for the show for five years, which ends next Christmas. Nemesis Metals, Agnesian HealthCare, BWS Plumbing, the Foundation, Noon Rotary, and Michels Corporation each pledged $5,000 in funding. Roehrig says what they are trying to do is put together a plan for a large service group or volunteers to learn from those currently doing the show so they can take it over. Roehrig says Fond du Lac is extremely lucky to have this amazing show at the park. Anyone interested in donating toward it can contact the Foundation at (920) 921-2215.
