City Council Will Consider $10 Million Holiday Inn Project In FDL

The Fond du Lac City Council next week will be asked to approve a development agreement with the Fond du Lac Holiday Inn that will include a 16,000 square foot conference center and a new restaurant. In a memo to City Manager Joe Moore, Community Development Director Wayne Rollin says the owners are investing about $10 million in the project in Fond du Lac over the next two years. They will rebuild the restaurant at the hotel as a Benevenuto’s Italian Restaurant and will be constructing a new Holiday Inn Express next door. The City will be helping through the use of tax incremental financing, which will help with $950,000 of the cost. The Council meets at 6 p.m. next Wednesday night at the Fond du Lac City-County Government Center.
