Clean Sweep In FDL Saturday

Thanks to a grant the Fond du Lac County UW-Extension Service is offering a hazardous waste clean sweep program this Saturday. It will be from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Expo Building. There is a $5 fee per vehicle. Noreen O’Brien of the Extension Service says County residents, farms, businesses, local governments and schools are welcome to bring hazardous chemicals from pesticides to solvents and more for disposal. She says there are a few things they won’t accept including explosives, ammunition, smoke detectors, radio active materials, fire extinguishers, propane tanks and more.
