Clerks Allowed to Reinstate Voters Wrongly Cut from Rolls Last Year

The Wisconsin Elections Commission is agreeing to allow local election clerks to reinstate voter registration for people who were wrongly cut from the rolls last year. The unanimous decision came after Milwaukee city and election officials say up to 32,000 voters may have been wrongly removed there. 340,000 voters were notified last year that they may have to update registration or be removed. The Milwaukee Election Commission identified about 100 voters this spring who were deactivated and should not have been.
