Click It Or Ticket Starts Today

Law enforcement agencies from across Fond du Lac County will join more than 400 agencies across the state for the Click it or Ticket seat belt enforcement campaign. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Captain Rick Olig says in the County they won’t just be looking for people who aren’t buckled up. He says they are also looking for aggressive and intoxicated drivers. He says they get reckless driving complaints that can turn into a serious accident when other motorists aren’t aware of that driver’s behavior, which is why they ask people to buckle up. Olig says you don’t have to be thrown from a vehicle involved in a crash or roll over to be serious injured. He says you become a human bowling ball in your vehicle if you’re involved in a traffic accident and aren’t wearing your seat belt. The Click it or Ticket campaign starts today and runs through June 1st. About 80 percent of motorists use their seat belts.
