Competency Exam Ordered For Woman Accused Of Helping Murder Suspect

A competency exam has been ordered for the 65-year-old Fox Lake woman suspected of helping her son hide the body of a murder victim. The lawyer for Marjorie Jones asked for the exam. Dodge County District Attorney Kurt Klomberg feels it is an effort to postpone a week-long jury trial scheduled to start January 22nd. Her son, Laverne Ware Jr., is suspected of killing his girlfriend Sesalie Dixon in December of 2016. Her body was found in the cab of Ware’s pickup truck parked inside the garage of Jones’ boyfriend Vernon Mickey. Findings in the competency exam will be reviewed next week. Jones is charged with aiding a felon.
