Congressman Grothman On First Glance At Trump Tax Reform Proposal

Congressman Glenn Grothman says he’s only seen an outline for President Trump’s tax reform package, but likes that it would cut corporate taxes. He says the U.S. is hurting itself, by having a higher corporate tax rate than other countries that do business with multi-nationals. He says it can affect decisions about where companies are going to spend their money and do expansions. The federal lawmaker says he’s not sure the rough outline they were given by the Trump administration balances out. He says it may not be revenue neutral, which could jeopardize its chances of being a permanent tax cut. He says the goal is to simplify taxes and give people tax breaks, but the current proposal might not be fair enough to the middle class.
