Congressman Grothman On NFL Protests

Congressman Glenn Grothman feels President Trump should cut back on his tweeting, but he agrees with the president when it comes to the NFL protests during the playing of the National Anthem. He says players, coaches and staff have the right to link arms, take a knee or sit, but he wonders what kind of example it sets for young fans. He notes others have the right to say this is ridiculous and young people are going to look at this and say what horrible thing is going on in this country. Grothman points out a lot of sports fans wish they could be professional athletes. He says the idea that American athletes in 2017 that these people of all people would say we have fundamental problems here and things are so bad here that we can’t even stand for the National Anthem is ridiculous.
