Convent Fire Still Under Investigation

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Chief Peter O’Leary says they are still working on identifying the persons responsible for starting a couple of fires they believe were intentionally set. He says they can think of three fires in the last six months they believe were set and in two of the three they have no one being held responsible for them yet. He says a Fond du Lac police detective (Lee Mikulec) is following up on leads in the Holy Nativity Convent Fire from June. He says there are still a number of leads and people to talk to in that case. Chief O’Leary says as time passes it looks more likely that the person responsible for that fire will be identified through the investigation and not by coming forward. Meanwhile 28-year-old Colin Habram of Fond du Lac is facing arson and other charges for setting a fire in his home at 410 Ellis Street last April. Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue photo.
