Counterfeiting Suspects Sought
Oshkosh Police are warning businesses about a man and woman who passing $100 counterfeit bills in the Fox Valley. The two tried to pass a $100 bill at an Oshkosh business on April 27th and a store employee realized the bill was phony. The woman grabbed the bill and left the store with the man. Police are asking that businesses be careful about verifying $100 bills and if they suspect the bill is counterfeit to give them a call with a description of the person suspected to trying to pass it. Pictures have been released of the two suspects. If you recognize the photos call the Oshkosh Police Department at (920) 236-5700 or the Winnebago County Wide Crime Stoppers at (920) 231-8477. You may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
