DATCP Shares Advice for Ticket Buyers During Bucks Playoff Run

Basketball fans will be making their way to Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee again tonight as the Bucks take on the Detroit Pistons in game two of their Eastern Conference playoff series. If you are looking to get into the arena to check out the action either tonight, or for a future playoff game, state Consumer Protection officials are asking fans to be wary of scammers who are trying to take advantage of the in-demand tickets. The Department of Ag, Trade and Consumer Protection says to buy your tickets from official sources and to be on the lookout for phony ticket offers.

The Bucks organization says the only place you can buy “verified” playoff tickets from either the team or other fans is through TIcketmaster. The team website also notes anyone who has a counterfeit ticket or a ticket with an invalid barcode will be denied entry to the arena. DATCP officials say to do your research and ask questions about the tickets if buying from a third-party seller and to pay with a credit card over cash, check or debit card.
