Daylight Saving Time Reminder

Fond du Lac Fire Division Chief Troy Haase recommends putting batteries on your shopping list this week. He says with Daylight Saving Time beginning Sunday morning batteries should be changed in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. He says if you can’t afford batteries or need a smoke detector stop by the fire station on South Main Street. He says they have a number of people that donate batteries to them. Daylight Saving Time starts at 2 a.m. Sunday morning and it is time to “Spring Forward” or set clocks ahead one hour. Some state legislators are shopping around a bill that would try and eliminate Daylight Saving Time.
