Dehumidifier Starts Fire In Theresa Home

Officials with the Theresa Fire Department say a faulty dehumidifier is believed to be the cause of a small fire at a residence in Theresa on Tuesday. Authorities got a call from the homeowner on Allen Road saying an “explosion” had occurred. No one was injured. There was smoke damage to the basement. The public is urged to check online to see if their dehumidifier is on the list of units that have been recalled.
