Dennis Brantner Sentenced In Drug Possession Case

The 62-year-old Kenosha man suspected of killing Berit Beck was sentenced Tuesday in Fond du Lac County Court on drug possession charges. Drugs were found on Dennis Brantner while he was being booked into the jail for Beck’s murder. Judge Peter Grimm sentenced him to six and a half years in prison, seven years of extended supervision, and 11 years of probation. In January a jury found him guilty of drug possession and bail jumping charges stemming from the March 2015 search at the jail. The drugs were found in a boot. Last month a jury was unable to decide whether Brantner was guilty of killing Beck in the summer of 1990. A motion hearing in that case is scheduled in September.
