DHS Reports more than 450 Coronavirus Cases in WI, Over 8k Have Tested “Negative”

Wisconsin now has over 450 people who have tested positive
for COVID-19, according to data made available by the Wisconsin Department of
Health Services on Tuesday afternoon.


Health officials say the state’s number of positive tests rose
to 457 as of 2 pm Tuesday, while over 8,200 have tested “negative” for the
disease. In Fond du Lac County, DHS now reports 18 positive tests for the Coronavirus,
and according to the department, there is now evidence of community spread in
the county. Community spread means that there are people who tested positive,
but have no exposure to a known case and have not traveled to a location where
there has been community spread.


Statewide, Milwaukee County has the most positive tests for
the coronavirus with 219. Dane County has 72, while Waukesha County has 31. The
number of deaths related to the disease in the state remains at five.
