Dodge Co. Inmate Gets 8 Years Added to Sentence after Beating Another Inmate

A Dodge County Inmate who brutally beat another inmate had
eight years added to his sentence on Friday. The Dodge County District Attorney’s
Office said 28-year-old Sir Jordan Cosby was sentenced to another five years in
prison with three years of extended supervision, and a term of probation.

A jury in August found Cosby guilty of battery by prisoners
and substantial battery. Corrections officers saw Cosby and another inmate
attacking a third inmate in June of 2017. Witnesses said Cosby punched the inmate
multiple times, leaving the victim unconscious.

The victim suffered severe head and facial trauma and was
covered in blood. Officers had to break up the fight and restrain Cosby. A news
release says one of the inmates who was part of the attack yelled “that’s for
my brother”, which suggests the attack was pre-planned.
