Dodge Co. Sheriff’s Office Investigating Crash Involving State Trooper

The
Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash involving a car and the
Wisconsin State Patrol vehicle that was pursuing it Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper was attempting to stop a
vehicle on State Highway 33 east of Horicon in the Town of Hubbard. The suspect, a 21 year old man from Menomonee Falls, eventually stopped his car in the lane
of traffic on County Highway S
near County Highway TW, put the car in reverse and crashed into the trooper’s
vehicle. The suspect then exited the car and was aggressive towards the
officer. Two witnesses pulled over to assist the State Patrol officer until
Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputies and Horicon Police Officers arrived. The
suspect was taken into custody and any charges will be requested by the State
Patrol. The trooper received minor injuries and was treated on scene. The
suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
