Dodge County Bird Tests Positive For West Nile Virus

Dodge County has its first report of a dead bird testing positive for the West Nile virus. County Public Health Officer Jody Langfeldt says the positive bird means that county residents need to be more vigilant in their personal protective measures to prevent mosquito bites. A Fond du Lac County resident found a dead crow on May 31st that tested positive for the West Nile virus. The state began surveillance for the mosquito borne virus on May 1st.
