Dodge County Board Approves Refinancing Of Old Debt

The Dodge County Board this week approved a $9 million dollar bond issue that will allow the County to save close to $830,000 by refinancing old debt. A financial consultant told supervisors Wells-Fargo of North Carolina had the lowest bid out of the six groups that applied. The original $16.3 million the County borrowed was used to finance the county highway shop in Juneau and phase two of the Clearview Nursing Home project.
